Testing for European energy labelling

Energy labelRD&T provides energy efficiency testing for appliances to meet the Ecodesign Directive. This Directive provides consistent EU-wide rules for improving the environmental performance of products, such as refrigerated appliances. The directive sets out minimum mandatory requirements for the energy efficiency of these products. This helps prevent creation of barriers to trade, improve product quality and environmental protection. 

RD&T regularly test refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function (Directive 2019/2024) and can also test professional refrigerated storage cabinets (2015/1094) and household refrigerating appliances (2005/32).

RD&T are not only able to test these appliances. We are also able to provide advice on how to achieve the best energy label.
